The Australia-China Youth Association (ACYA) is an apolitical not-for-profit student association which works to actively foster a transnational community among young Australians and Chinese who are interested in further understanding each other’s countries and cultures. ACYA welcomes anyone interested in the Aus-China bilateral relationship to join in our events.
Focusing chiefly on young people between the ages of 18 and 30, ACYA’s main objectives are to facilitate and develop lasting bilateral friendships, partnerships and opportunities across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to: business, education, sport and the arts. ACYA’s broad youth engagement is centred on three pillars: Careers, Education and People-to-People (P2P) exchange. These pillars are supported by ACYA’s network of 26 chapters, 19 of which are based in Australian universities and 7 are in Chinese cities, with 6,000+ members.
ACYA has arranged a plethora of events, unique internship, scholarship, and volunteering opportunities for its members and is undoubtedly your first port of call for all Australia and China related matters. Here at ACYA Curtin, we believe greater understanding is achieved through friendships and a sense of community. If you'd like to meet new people, have fun, develop yourself, learn about new opportunities and better understand the dynamics of Aus-China relations, then ACYA Curtin is for you!
