Curtin University Australian Republic Club

The Curtin University Australian Republic Club (CUARC) promotes the idea that Australian should become an independent modern day republic free from outside influence that has the capacity to affect our sovereignty as a nation.

Description

Our club runs fundraising BBQs, invites experts and those with a significant interest to discuss the topic, and also organise forums to debate and develop the arguments for an Australian Republic.

Our objectives are:
1. The Curtin University Australian Republic Club (CUARC) shall seek to foster grassroots support for the affirmative answer to the question: “Should an Australian be our Head of State?”
2. Provide a non-partisan environment to debate and discuss the advantages, challenges and significance of Australia transforming into a traditional constitutional monarchy and into a modern day republic.
