Curtin Bentley Campus
PLEASE NOTE: If you have booked into a Provide First Aid course CPR is included in the First Aid course. It is therefore not necessary to book into the CPR course separately.
This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support. Students who have successfully completed this course will be given an accredited Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) qualification that is valid for three years. CPR component is included in this course. It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council that the CPR component of this course be updated every 12 months.
Attainment of this qualification satisfies the first aid training requirements for many Curtin courses (both undergrad and postgrad), and will also enable you to progress onto more advanced courses, if relevant.
This single day course provides a good general foundation in first aid, and will qualify you to perform basic life support skills. Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) promises fun, interactive and informative training courses, so don’t miss your opportunity to jump on board!
All attendees are required to complete an online pre-course module prior to undertaking the practical component of the course. Log in details are sent 3 days prior to the practical component date.
Any attendee who does not complete the online training and theoretical test prior to attending the course will not be permitted to take part. Strictly no refunds will be given to participants who fail to complete the required theoretical training. A link to the mandatory online training will be emailed to you following enrolment.
(Normally costs over $150. Last booking will be taken 7 days before event.)
Bear in mind that there is high demand for these classes and they sell out VERY quick. We are unable to reschedule bookings.
No refunds will be given to participants who fail to complete the required theoretical online training.
No refunds for non-attendance of course.
If a student has a change in schedule and is unable to attend the course, students can request a full refund of their booking up to 7 days before the course starts. It is the students' responsibility to re-book for another date (where available). Late requests, including after the course date, will not be entertained.
Consideration will be taken only if student can demonstrate circumstances outside of their control. Supporting documents, such as medical certificate or email/ notification from university/ work must be provided for consideration. Documentation must cover course date.
Bookings can be made up to 7 days before the scheduled event.
