The Peoples' Choice
This award is truly special as it’s nominated by the Curtin community itself. We receive heartfelt submissions from club members, Curtin faculty and teaching staff, general staff, and even members of the public who attend and enjoy club events on campus. It’s a celebration of the events that made a lasting impression on the people who experienced them firsthand.

Curtin Middle Eastern North African Club (MENA). We received great nominations from students for this first winner, with each student stating similar things: They have helped bring culture into their lives that they were missing from not being back home. One student stated that going to a club event made them feel like they were back home in Cairo.

Curtin African Students Association. We received a range of well thought out nominations from students, faculty, and community stakeholders. Feedback across the spectrum stated that this club is more than just a club, it’s a community. It enriches the culture and social experiences of students at Curtin University with their range of events and by promoting African culture.
Best Club Event
This year, the competition for Best Club Event was incredibly fierce, with a high number of nominations. With over 1,900 events held throughout the year, the calibre of entries was nothing short of outstanding. From creative concepts to flawless execution, many events stood out, making the judging process both inspiring and challenging.

Curtin Computer Science Student Association – The Amazing Tech Race. This event stood out for its alignment with the club’s core objectives, blending social, networking, and educational elements into one dynamic experience. With 13 teams solving challenges that tested their critical thinking, logical reasoning, and lateral problem-solving skills, participants raced to uncover clues and complete an overarching narrative.

Curtin Consulting Group, Curtin Marketing Association & Curtin Business and Commerce Association - The Careers Mixer.This year’s winning event was a collaborative effort between three powerhouse clubs. Together, they created an informal networking event that welcomed 325 students and over 30 organisations. With music, food, and interactive sessions, they transformed traditional networking into an inclusive, engaging, and memorable experience which perfectly aligned with the goals of all three clubs.

With 35 new clubs launched in 2025, this year has been an exciting one for student life at Curtin. The finalists for Best New Club have gone above and beyond to establish their presence, grow their membership, and deliver outstanding events that align with their club’s vision and goals.

From wine and distillery tours to on-campus mixology classes and a lively quiz night in the new exclusive Clubs Hub venue; they’ve made a memorable impact.

Their commitment to upskilling members and providing opportunities to apply those skills in stunning, real-world settings has been truly inspiring. They’ll wrap up the year with a photography exhibition in the new exclusive Clubs Hub venue, showcasing the talent and growth of their members.
Most Improved Club
This award recognises the incredible efforts of student committees who, in many cases, stepped into challenging situations - sometimes even near dissolution - and worked tirelessly to reinvigorate their clubs. These students have shown resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to rebuilding their clubs to better serve their members.

Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesian di Australia Curtin (PPIA)This club made significant strides by focusing on strong governance practices. Through regular committee meetings and the creation of dedicated divisions within their team, they built a supportive environment that helped Indonesian students transition into university life and fostered a strong sense of community.

Curtin Consulting Group At one point, this club was on the verge of being dissolved. But through the determination of a passionate and focused committee, they turned things around in a remarkable way. In 2025, they committed to fulfilling their mission of connecting students with real-world experiences through industry mentoring and professional development. Their efforts led to a 55% increase in membership and partnerships with over 20 industry organisations, offering hands-on consulting experience to their members.

The quality of submissions for this year’s Club Awards was truly outstanding, making the judging process incredibly difficult. This is a testament to all of you - not only for the amazing work you’ve done running your clubs, but also for the effort and thought you put into your submissions. You should all be proud.

Curtin Engineers Club. The club refocused its efforts on core objectives, embracing a “for the students” approach. They supported new students academically by providing access to equipment and ran six dedicated events to help members build logbook hours. Their calendar featured signature events like BBQ on the Lawn and Ignite Ball, while also connecting students to industry through Engineer Your Career, workshops, site tours, and the collaborative Ready Steady Build.

Women in Business Curtin. They have made a significant impact on the Curtin community through mentoring other clubs, offering scholarships to help members pursue their goals, and creating inclusive spaces for professional growth and networking. Their scholarship initiative even supported students in running stalls at their annual Spring Market.

Curtin Civil Engineering Association.While all nominations were impressive, one club’s application stood out above the rest. This club focused on bridging the gap between students and industry through a mix of networking and social events. They collaborated with nine other clubs throughout the year and have plans to expand these partnerships even further. With a committed, professional, and accountable committee, they delivered on their objectives in exceptional ways, hosting three major networking events with industry guests, technical workshops, career info sessions, and a quiz night that welcomed 110 students and 20 engineering firms.
