Have you been working? Then you have been paying tax to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). When you are a student every dollar helps so don’t leave those dollars unclaimed at the ATO.
Tax Help is a FREE and confidential service available to all Curtin Students. Our volunteers have been fully trained and accredited through the ATO’s Tax Help initiative. Tax Help volunteers will help you complete your tax returns online. It takes approximately an hour and appointments can be made closer to the end of the financial year.
Not tax time but still have a tax question? Make an appointment with our Financial Counsellor all year round. Contact Student Assist here

Volunteers can help you lodge your tax return online with myTax or claim a refund of franking credits.
If our volunteers work out that you don’t need to lodge a tax return, they can help you complete a non-lodgment advice.
Volunteers are unable to help you with amendments.
If you’re eligible for Tax Help you will need to have a myGov account linked to the ATO. If necessary, our volunteers can help you link your myGov account to the ATO.
